Treatment shaped around the person, not a standard routine.

Every appointment starts with a conversation about what brings you in, relevant health information, activity, preferences and goals. Where appropriate, Tony may assess movement or the area before agreeing a treatment approach with you.

It may be relevant for

  • Muscular tension or soreness around training
  • Restricted or uncomfortable movement
  • A return to activity after appropriate clinical clearance
  • Physical demands from sport, work or repetitive activity

Your appointment may include

  • Relevant history and movement assessment
  • Targeted sports and remedial massage techniques
  • Pressure adapted to your comfort and response
  • Practical recovery or movement guidance where useful

Sports massage is not only for athletes.

Sports massage describes a purposeful approach to soft tissues and movement; it is not a reward reserved for elite competitors. Tony works with people who run, lift, cycle or practise yoga, as well as clients whose main physical load comes from commuting, desk work or a demanding schedule.

Your session is based on your current presentation rather than a fixed full-body sequence. That may mean focusing on one area, looking at how nearby regions move, or allowing more time for several related concerns.

Pressure with purpose—not a test of endurance.

Effective treatment does not need to be excessively painful. Tony explains options, checks your response and adjusts pressure as needed. You can pause, decline a technique or change the focus at any point.

Sports massage may support comfort, mobility and recovery, but it cannot guarantee injury prevention or improved performance. New, severe or unexplained symptoms may need medical assessment before treatment.

Near Monument, with straightforward access from Canary Wharf.

Sessions take place at Light Centre Monument, 36 St Mary at Hill, London EC3R 8DU. Monument is the nearest Tube station; Bank, Cannon Street and London Bridge are also nearby. All appointments are arranged in advance.

Before you arrange a session.

Do I need to play sport?

No. Sports massage principles can be relevant to exercise, work demands, repetitive activity and ordinary muscular tension.

Can I train after sports massage?

That depends on the session, your response and the activity planned. Tony can discuss sensible options, but treatment does not replace medical or sports-injury assessment.

Will the treatment be painful?

Pressure should be purposeful and tolerable. You remain in control and can ask for any technique or pressure to change.

Where is the clinic?

At Light Centre Monument, 36 St Mary at Hill, London EC3R 8DU, close to Monument station and convenient from the City and Canary Wharf.
