A considered approach
Every appointment starts with a conversation about what brings you in, relevant health information, activity, preferences and goals. Where appropriate, Tony may assess movement or the area before agreeing a treatment approach with you.
Tony is a qualified acupuncture and cupping practitioner. At WholePerson Bodywork, acupuncture is considered alongside your history, symptoms, preferences and any relevant assessment. It may be used with soft-tissue therapy or not used at all.
Before needling, Tony explains why it is being considered, what you may feel and what alternatives are available. You can decide not to proceed or ask for the needles to be removed at any time.
Responses to acupuncture vary. The website does not claim that acupuncture cures disease or guarantees a particular result. You should disclose pregnancy, medication, bleeding disorders, needle anxiety, infection risk, recent procedures and other relevant health information during screening.
