Treatment shaped around the person, not a standard routine.

Every appointment starts with a conversation about what brings you in, relevant health information, activity, preferences and goals. Where appropriate, Tony may assess movement or the area before agreeing a treatment approach with you.

It may be relevant for

  • Clients curious about cupping as part of bodywork
  • Muscular areas being addressed within a wider session
  • People who understand temporary marks may occur
  • Those for whom screening shows cupping is suitable

Your appointment may include

  • Suitability screening and explanation
  • Agreement on areas and level of suction
  • Static or moving cups where appropriate
  • Aftercare information and skin-response guidance

Cupping is an option, not a requirement.

Cupping uses controlled suction at the skin. Tony may consider it as one of several possible tools within a bodywork appointment, but it is never necessary simply because an area feels tight.

The decision is made with you after discussing the intended purpose, alternatives and likely skin response. The amount of suction can be changed, and cups can be removed immediately if you are uncomfortable.

What to know about marks and aftercare.

Cupping commonly causes temporary circular discolouration or marks, which may remain visible for several days. These marks are not proof that toxins have been removed, and darker marks do not automatically mean a treatment was more effective.

Cupping may be unsuitable with certain skin conditions, bleeding risks, medication, acute illness or other health factors. Tony screens before treatment and may recommend another approach or appropriate medical advice.

Before you arrange a session.

Will cupping leave marks?

It can leave temporary circular discolouration for several days. Tony explains this before you decide whether to proceed.

Does darker marking mean more toxins were removed?

No. WholePerson Bodywork does not use toxin-removal claims; skin responses vary for ordinary physiological reasons.

Can cupping be combined with massage?

Yes, when appropriate. It may be one optional element within an assessment-led soft-tissue session.

Can I stop during treatment?

Yes. You remain in control and can ask for suction to change or for cups to be removed at any time.

Ask Tony whether this approach fits what you need.
